- added rules for gcc-4.3 in preparation for switching to gcc-4.4
- added 'clean' target for wmake/src/Makefile
It is probably reasonable to separate the binaries from the rules (TODO)
- added wmakePrintBuild -check, -update, -version options
- only update .build cache when explictly requested and
from within the wmake Cver rules
- use -check option to avoid unnecessary remake in src/Allwmake
- send error messages to stderr
- added -h/-help options where some were missing
- changed 3-space to 4-space indentation
- where possible, allow multiple directories from the command-line
- move tutorial cleanup to the end in case the user wishes to
abort the wcleanAll script
- adjusted wcleanAlmostAll according, but don't know if it's really
needed any more
- fixed typo: had skipped '-Make' instead of 'Make' directory
- remove broken links first
* helps when file locations have changed
- filter out trailing 'lnInclude' from the <dir> spec
* this makes it easier to update existing lnInclude dirs:
find -name lnInclude -exec wmakeLnInclude -f {} \;
- reduced output noise when re-creating an identical link
- match comments to names of scripts
- remove comments about using C-shell (not true anymore)
- use 'assert' style syntax in places instead of if/then/fi
- wcleanMachine supports multiple arguments
This substantially eases enabling/disabling distributed compiling
For example,
- export WM_HOSTS="host1:N ... hostN:N" as usual
- simply set/unset WM_SCHEDULER
etc/aliases.{sh,csh} added aliases for enabling/disabling wmakeScheduler
- alias wmSchedON='export WM_SCHEDULER=$WM_PROJECT_DIR/wmake/wmakeScheduler'
- alias wmSchedOFF='unset WM_SCHEDULER'
Removed wmakeLockScheduler, identical to wmakeScheduler except a 'sleep'
